2022 Social Work Online Advocacy Week

Free and open to all social workers and students! 6.5 CEUs and more through independent learning.

We’re very excited to announce our 2022 NASW-MN Social Work Online Advocacy Week!

This year’s event has taken on a new format - join us for a full week of advocacy and action!

The week will kick-off over lunch on Monday with an update on what’s happening at the Capitol related to NASW-MN’s legislative priorities, as well as guest speakers and elected officials sharing their perspectives. We invite you to stick around afterwards to learn strategies for impactful advocacy. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will feature a deep dive into our legislative priorities, including in-depth information from legislators and policy experts to inspire your advocacy.

Meeting with legislators is a key part of social change! So we’re making it super easy for you: we’ll provide assistance in scheduling time to meet with your legislators, so that you can represent social workers’ policy priorities in your region! Schools of Social Work across the state have designated Student Advocates who will work with us to set up legislator meetings - thanks in advance for the key role they’ll play in our event!

Presenters to be confirmed.
