Medical Aid in Dying: What Should Social Workers Know?

Presenter: Mary Carlsen, MSW, LISW

More than 20 states have introduced and/or passed legislation to allow medical aid in dying; interest is growing. Social workers need to know the literature, the NASW Policy Statement on End-of-Life Decision-Making and Care, the central components of AID legislation, and ethical issues this policy raises.
