Minnesota Legal Protections for Workers: Understanding Current Laws, Recent Updates, and New Legislation

Lunch N Learn Webinar

Wednesday, September 3, 2025 - 12-1 p.m. CT via Zoom

Presenter: Alanna Galloway

1 CEU

This session will provide an overview of Minnesota’s legal protections for workers. Participants will gain familiarity with current labor laws, recent legislative updates, and how these changes affect employee rights across the state. The session will highlight evolving workplace protections and clarify employer responsibilities, including laws related to paid leave, rest and meal breaks, and general working conditions. Social workers will learn where to direct clients for accurate information and reliable support when dealing with labor law violations or questions about their rights. By deepening their understanding of state employment protections, social workers in all fields will be better prepared to help clients advocate for themselves and navigate available assistance. This knowledge is essential for ensuring that workers across Minnesota have access to the protections they deserve and the resources they need.

You will receive the access link the day before the webinar.
