Join NASW-MN PACE and Vot-ER for an engaging and practical webinar designed to equip social workers to strengthen civic participation while upholding the profession's commitment to ethical, nonpartisan practice. Learn how to use your trusted role to encourage voter registration, understand the connection between civic engagement and individual and community well-being, and access simple, evidence-informed tools to help clients register to vote within legal and ethical guidelines.

The session will also highlight NASW-MN PACE's endorsements for the upcoming election, providing an overview of the candidates the organization has endorsed and the endorsement process. In addition, we'll explore how social workers can effectively support clients, colleagues, and communities across differing political beliefs and backgrounds while maintaining professionalism, cultural humility, and a focus on shared values. Whether you're looking for practical voter engagement strategies, want to learn more about NASW-MN's advocacy efforts, or are seeking guidance on navigating political differences in practice, this session will provide timely resources and meaningful discussion.

Vot-ER’s portion of the presentation is about nonpartisan voter engagement and education, and they will not take part in the endorsement discussion that follows. Vot-ER provides the Website and Tools for the purpose of helping healthcare institutions and providers integrate non-partisan voter registration into health care processes and systems. Vot-ER is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization and does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for office. Vot-ER expects all uses of tools to comply with Vot-ER's strict standard of non-partisanship and to adhere to all federal, state, and local voter registration laws.

PACE is the political action committee of Minnesota’s NASW Chapter, dedicated to advancing social workers’ public policy goals by supporting candidates for office who support NASW policy issues and align with the values and ethics of the social work profession. The PACE committee develops an endorsement process, makes endorsement decisions, and informs members of which candidates the NASW-MN is endorsing.
