March is Social Work Month, and this year, we’re focusing on the themes of compassion and action. Compassion isn’t something we’re born with in limited supply—it’s a quality that grows through practice and intentionality. In a world that’s constantly shifting, maintaining compassion can be a challenge. It’s easy to feel that our actions may not have the impact we hope for. Moreover, it can be challenging to practice compassion in an environment—whether at work, with colleagues, or even within your own family and social circles—when those around you don't seem to share the same level of compassion.
Dr. Karen Goodenough will guide us in exploring how compassion and action intersect as a celebration of the social work profession. This session will deepen your understanding of compassion and provide practical steps to nurture and expand it in your own life and to those around you.
