Session Description:
Change is constant, and yet so often slow, ineffective, and terribly frustrating. In this session we’ll consider all sorts of change that social workers are trying to make in organizations and systems – from practices to ‘big P’ Policies and ‘little p’ policies, to culture shifts – attendees will set the tone with the changes they would like to see. We’ll discuss identifying and utilizing power structures, managing up, when to turn up/down the heat, use of self in tough situations (and more!), to help you be more effective in the changes you seek.
