We’re very excited to announce that Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan will be joining us for the week's kickoff session!

This year’s event has taken on a new format - join us throughout the week for advocacy and action!

The week will kick-off on Monday with an update of what’s happening at the MN Capitol related to NASW-MN’s legislative priorities. This will be our rallying point of the week with speakers you won't want to miss. We invite you to stick around afterwards to learn strategies for impactful advocacy.

Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will feature a deep dive into current events and our legislative priorities - elevating and diversifying the social work profession, reforming child welfare, affordable and accessible housing, and reimagining community safety - including insights from legislators and policy experts to inspire your advocacy.

Meeting with legislators is a key part of social change! So we’re making it super easy for you: we will be scheduling times for you and others in your region to meet with your legislators as a group, so that you can represent social workers’ policy priorities in your region!

Schools of Social Work across the state have designated Student Advocates who will work with us to set up legislator meetings - thanks in advance for the key role they’ll play in our event!

The window for assistance in scheduling legislator meetings has closed.
