CMS has warned it could withhold up to $2 billion from Minnesota’s Medicaid program if required provider revalidations are not completed — putting care for 1.3 million Minnesotans at risk.
As part of Minnesota Revalidate 2026, providers delivering services identified as “high risk” under the state’s Medicaid audit initiative must successfully complete revalidation by May 31, 2026.
If you provide Medicaid services, make sure you understand whether this requirement applies to you and complete any necessary steps as soon as possible.

Providers' Roundtable:
The providers' roundtable calls take place every Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, and a number of providers have indicated that this has been a great source of ongoing information, as well as an opportunity to raise concerns and troubleshoot problems. Attendance at these meetings is by invitation only, so anyone who is not currently on the calendar invite but is interested in joining the calls should email mhcp.roundtables.dhs@state.mn.us to get added.
