Social workers in Guam and the Mariana Islands are facing devastating conditions following the impact of Typhoon Bavi. Many are continuing to support their communities while facing hardship themselves, including loss of electricity, clean water, and access to essential supplies.

The NASW Foundation has activated its Social Work Disaster Assistance Fund to provide immediate relief and direct assistance, including support for utility and water restoration and essential supplies such as water purification tablets and LifeStraws.

The need is urgent, and current resources are not enough to meet it.
