About the presenters
Adrienne Falcón is Co-President of the Northfield Cannon Falls League of Women Voters and also serves on the state board of the Minnesota League of Women Voters. She is a Professor in and the Chair of the Department of Public and Non-Profit Leadership at Metropolitan State University where she directs the Masters in Advocacy and Political Leadership program (the MAPL Program). Prior to 2017, she was the founding director of the Academic Civic Engagement (ACE) program in the Center for Community and Civic Engagement at Carleton College where she also lectured in the sociology department. Through her work she seeks to build connections between campuses and community organizations to bring about social change.
Jenn Hamrick is a macro practice social worker with over a decade of experience within the nonprofit sector. Her experience includes working to build support systems for people leaving prison, organizing community coalitions, developing programs, and leading organizations through substantial change. Currently she supports organizations in healing organizational trauma, and providing tools to assist organizations in making large changes in a holistic way that incorporates the views of staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
Jess Hanson is running for MN House District 56A. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from St. Catherine University in 2018 where she learned how to combine her passion for community and care for people into a career that improves people's lives. She is currently finishing her graduate degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership. As a single mom of two kids, she advocates for a Politics of Care that improves the lives of all.
Michael Wall is a Voter Outreach Specialist for the Office of Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon. What that means is he gets to spend his days connecting people to the power of our representative democracy and their place in it, helping people learn and utilize the registration and voting processes, and generally feeling that he is so, so lucky to be supporting the idea that, “Your Vote is Your Voice.” His background is in secondary education and relationship development, and he pines for the next time he and his family will own dogs.
You will receive your access information the day before the webinar.
